Notes

Patience, persistence, water, and sun protection are a must for hunting butterflies during peak daylight hours. I always tell those that ask how I make images like this of Insects that even though a fair portion is luck and timing, it is absolutely critical to know the limitations and potential of your gear and a facile understanding of the technology at your disposal. An understanding of your subject, it's behaviours, when and where it may be found, and a basic knowledge of Biology, Orienteering and Geology is a must, as well.
