Warner Valley is just on the Arizona Utah border 6 miles east of Saint George, Utah.
I was feeling safe with the previous strikes way off in the distance. But this was way too close and this flash blinded me. I was safe in a vehicle using a remote. I didn't realize the shot I captured until I looked at the review screen. This was my last shot of the night.
I was deciding to pack up my gear with the distant storm dying down, but decided to take just one more shot. So I clicked the remote for my Canon 50d on bulb with an aperture of F4 on my Tokina 12-24, at 12 wide and waited only 8 seconds for this shot. Imagine how close this was at 12mm on an apc sensor.
