A 14 day photography trip to the pacific northwest this past October wasn't what I had mentally planned. The weather was unusually warm and most days not a cloud to be found. Photography is all about adjusting, in my eyes. I stuck around the gorge on the Oregon side to take advantage of the wildfires. I lived in San Diego for a while and lived through some nasty wildfires. Wildfires are plain awful but with the combination of smoke and soot yporu'll get some ridiculous colors in the sky during the golden hours. Tranquil #1 would never have happened if I didn't adjust and take advantage of the wildfires nastiness.
