  • Brief Directions: This spring is located in Midway Geyser Basin. The brilliant reds and yellows around the edges of the blue pool are from algae and bacteria that can tolerate temperatures of 170 degrees F.

  • Description: GRAND PRISMATIC SPRING Yellowstone's largest hot spring at 370 ft. across. Ground photos do not do this spring justice. It is necessary to view from the air to really be able to appreciate the beauty.
