- Title: Orange Flash
- State/Province/Region: Maryland
- Country: United States
- Nearest Town: Ocean City
- Brief Directions: Yes, this shot used a TRIPOD. While being very excited to have my chance at lightning shots, I was not able to hand-hold most of my shots. Some I did hold for 1.5s. For this particular shot, I used a wireless remote, BULB mode, and my 55-250mm IS lens. ISO was set to 800, only because the flashes were SO bright. F-stop was only 5.6. I manually focused the shot based off of the numerous flashes on the horizon and wanted to have a wider aperture and less grain from the ISO.
- Best Season: Summer
- Description: A nearby storm out at sea during a warm summer night provided a wonderful show of color! This orange color is 100% natural and occurred earlier in the night, around 8pm. Later, the color changed as the storm moved down the coast.
- Gear: Canon T1i, 55-250mm IS EF-S, Tripod
