Getting into this area is relatively easy, but the rocks are really slippery when wet. Getting into the creek requires a solid tripod that will not be vibrating from the water flow around the legs. Some slight polarization to knock down the reflections can also help as wet leaves can reflect light.
Usual to see as much orange and red fall color as this year in the Eastern Sierras. It started snowing off and on, with overcast conditions making the rocks dark and the colors stand out. Most the creek is so cluttered, that it is hard to get a good opening. The Cascades had provide a more open area to get the rich colors along the banks.
