Description

This shot actually has lots of names in it. I will start off with saying this is The Roosevelt National Forest. Inside The Roosevelt National Forest we find Comanche Peak Wilderness Area which was created in 1980 in strength from conservation efforts. In the center of the shot sits The Pingree Park Campus which is part of Colorado State University. Many students study here as part of their curriculum. 7 peaks, 6 lakes, and 16 rivers make up this precious jewel of The North American Continental Divide. The peaks you see in my photo are part of the Mummy Range. Mummy Mountain is named for the striking resemblance to a mummy laying down, arms crossed. Storm moving in, thunder above.
