I went to take the typical Mormon Row shot early on July 4. The entire morning was gray with a storm moving in with somber clouds over the Tetons when the entire sky suddenly lit up. I got off 13 frames and, if I didn't see the strip myself, I wouldn't have believed it. I was one of about 5 guys shooting there that morning and we maneuvered around each other to capture the light when - just as quickly as it appeared - all of the color vanished. The light lasted 4 1/2 minutes and we were all left speechless.
