Description: The old world remains alive in much of rural Romania. These entrepreneurial Gypsies used their prize horse and cart to haul wood, crops, and other items to sell alongside the road or in a local market.
We had passed these folks on a narrow "highway" between Sighisoara and Sovata in central Romania. We stopped and got a couple of shots before the sun went down.
They weren't quite sure what to think of me jumping in and out of the car to take a few shots. I love the old world setting, simple lifestyle, and stoic faces that come from people who are not used to being photographed.
