This picture was taken downtown Bighamton, New York in the art gallery district area. This mannequin was attached some years ago as a prank. Supposedly, it was put there to see if people would even notice or ever look up. This mannequin has been there for years,I was intrigued by the position of the mannequin in relation to the church cross on the steeple. I took the picture during the day, in Adobe photoshop I inverted the sky so it appears as night time. I then layered in a separate shot of the moon.I liked how it represented heaven. I felt the eye was pulled in by the gravity of the situation,a soul of man, the universal cross sign, as well as the moon as heaven. So you have all this beauty, man made and nature, yet you always have that question where does the soul belong? It actually has many different layers to what it could stand for, hopefully the reader or the bystander will find their own way to relate.
