Description

There was a tree trunk fell down in Merced river at this location. I determined the best spot was balancing myself on the tree trunk and extending tripod further more. I used gradient ND filter to make it possible to capture this scene in single RAW file. The sunset color illuminated the El Capitan and clouds at that right moment while the snow caps remained in the cool color temperature. That's what I want and I am glad mother nature gave me the chance. The left side is "Ribbon Fall", the largest single-drop waterfall in North America. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ribbon_Fall). The left off center is the famous El Capitan. The right side is "Bridalveil Fall" (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bridalveil_Fall_(Yosemite))
