Notes

We planned a week long trek in this area of India, staying 2 mights in Auli. When the weather is clear there is a 180o view of the Indian Himalayan range from the Hotel balcony. We went at the end of the monsoon and were blessed with incredible views both days. Auli is at about 10,000 ft. and the trekking in the area (Valley of Flowers, Hemkund etc) can go to 14000. But well worth the effort.

Description

View of the "Eternal Snows" (Himalayan Mtns.) in northern India. Nanda Devi, the peak on the right, is the highest in India.
