Lone Quiver Tree Or Kokerboom, Namibia

  • Title: Lone Quiver Tree Or Kokerboom, Namibia
  • State/Province/Region:
  • Country: Namibia
  • Nearest Area: Southern Namibia
  • Nearest Town: Ai-Ais
  • Best Season: Summer
  • Description: This was taken on my first trip through the southern part of Namibia. On our way to the Fish River Canyon, it was the first Quiver Tree I had ever seen and it looked so incredible in this wide open landscape with the dark basalt ridge in the background. The photo was taken during the late morning so the light was pretty harsh and you can see the heat waves in the background of the landscape but that somehow lends itself to the beauty of the image.

Stunning shot Terry. Love the clouds and drama they bring to the picture. Lorenzo

Thanks Laura, really appreciate it. I have printed it large several times, and really shines. We'll see!

Wow, this is just spectacular, and reading the backstory makes it even more so. I hope I see this in a double spread!
