Wind Swept Sand Dunes In The Namib Desert.

  • Title: Wind Swept Sand Dunes In The Namib Desert.
  • State/Province/Region:
  • Country: Namibia
  • Nearest Area: Erongo Region
  • Nearest Town: Swakopmund
  • Best Season: Autumn
  • Description: This photo was taken in the late afternoon. I find this is the best time to take dune photo's as the contracts are more dramatic. This dune belt is along the ocean so the late afternoon often has strong winds which chisel and shape the dunes into the most exquisite forms.

Thank you kindly Manda! I thought you might also enjoy this image of Yosemite in Fall. It's a great time of year there. I look forward to a few trips there this season!

Thanks Laura! It's up in the area you also enjoy visiting/photographing, there in the Eastern Sierras! I can't wait for a few more weeks to go start chasing the Fall colors! I look forward to...
