- Description: A Unesco-protected 11 century kasbah where Gladiator , Jewel of the Nile and Lawrence of Arabia was filmed. I was on the roof of my hotel at midnight mesmerized by the scene before me. This was a 25 miute exposure and luck would have it that the kasbah was under the north star.
