  • Brief Directions: Starting from Lukla airport, it is a 4 day trek to Tengboche village and the monastery. You will pass through some of the most spectacular scenery on earth, including a view of Mt Everest.
  • Notes: Every afternoon the clouds roll up from the steamy plains of India and fill the valleys of the Himalaya, and the peaks seem to float over a sea of clouds at sunset.
  • Best Season: Autumn
  • Gear: Diamox, a telephoto lens, moleskin, sunscreen for the high altit

    Very nice set of "Arches" Stephen. Wasn't sure, but thought someone said one of the famous landmarks fell? Really enjoyed the "Double Windows" when there!

    That moose is a "spike" i.e. a very young juvenile, probably on his first year away from mom. His antler's will fill out further in the next few years.

    Very interesting post Donna and Mike on Moose/Antlers. Not sure what may have caused the change in antlers, but pretty sure the one will end up looking like one of these in a few years.
