Rock And Glacier

  • Title: Rock And Glacier
  • State/Province/Region:
  • Country: Nepal
  • Nearest Area: Annapurna Sanctuary
  • Nearest Town: Thorung Phedi
  • Brief Directions: Hike for 2 weeks straight into thin air, and hope you don't get sick or injured because there are no hospitals within a few hundred miles and no way down the mountain except by foot.
  • Best Season: Autumn
  • Description: This was taken near the top of Thorung La Pass above 5400 Meters in the Annapurna Sanctuary in Nepal. It was cold and windy and no place to linger. The jagged peaks and glaciers struck me and I took the shot in a second before putting my gloves back on.
