Menacing

  • Title: Menacing
  • State/Province/Region:
  • Country: Costa Rica
  • Nearest Area: Jacó Beach
  • Nearest Town: Jacó Beach
  • Brief Directions: From San José, the capital of Costa Rica, it might take, by car, about 2 in a half hours to the Tárcoles River. Most people are not aware of the boat tour so they see the crocs from above, on a bridge. Every time I go to Costa Rica I take the boat tour because those animals are fascinating as well as dangerous.
  • Notes: I took this shot June, 2012. Focal length 171 mm F/8 Exposure time: 1/320 sec. Automatic mode.
  • Best Season: Summer
  • Description: The Tárcoles River where I took this shot is "literally" crawling with crocodiles. One gets on a large boat to explore the river and crocodiles sometimes pass close to the boat.
  • Gear: Canon EOC Digital Rebel XTi
