Foraging Spider Monkey

  • Title: Foraging Spider Monkey
  • State/Province/Region:
  • Country: Costa Rica
  • Nearest Area: Osa Peninsula
  • Nearest Town: Puerto Jimenez
  • Best Season: Spring
  • Description: Spider monkeys are the most acrobatic of the four monkey species found on the Osa Peninsula. They swing from branch to branch in effortless fashion. The spider monkeys frequented our lodge daily foraging for food and this particular one cooperated for me by climbing out onto a branch.
