  • Brief Directions: Fly from Buenos Aires to El Calafate and then take the 4 hour bus ride to El Chalten. The full day hike to Lago Torre and this view starts right from the edge of town.
  • Notes: I've titled this image 'Dreamland' and what an amazing place it is! Cerro Torre is one of the most spectacular peaks in the world, and the view from Lago Torre at sunrise is hard to beat!
  • Best Season: Autumn
  • Gear: Rain gear, a heavy tripod for the wind, a spanish/english dictio

    I love how the Milky Way appears to be a continuation of the river – no accident I’m sure. I’m guessing you had to take your sky shot with no moon in the sky, and the foreground with the moon low...
