  • Brief Directions: Heading West from Calgary on Highway 1, take the second Banff exit. Turn left at the stop sign and go over the Highway. Take the second right (the Vermilion Lakes sign). Drive slowly down the road. The first of the three lakes is on the left.
  • Notes: Although I said that Autumn is the best season, anytime of the year and anytime of the day are great; sunrise and/or sunset are particularly nice.
  • Best Season: Autumn
  • Gear: Tripod, polarizer, lots of memory chips
