Description: The end of a day that brought rain, snow, sleet, wind, more rain and...this wicked sunset. The scene was surreal. That light beam lasted maybe 3 minutes during which I captured only a few images that didn't have huge water spots on my lens despite my constant wiping. Looking back on the conditions capturing even one good image was a blessing, five exposures for this HDR image...a minor miracle. :)

Thanks Lorenzo for the kind words on Oregon. I thought I'd share this shot also of Kauai. I know Laura is planning a trip there, so I tried to add some images for her to take a look at!
