Description: Sunset Crater National Monument is just 15 minutes from Flagstaff, but is always overlooked. I have been here twice, and never seen more than 10 people. The sun, right before it sets behind a small range of mountains, lights up the top of crater. The late light and the reddish rock combine to make a brilliantly lit scene...that is largely ignored.
