The warmth of June brings forth an abundance of wildflowers and Catawba rhododendron along a seven-mile stretch of mile high Highland balds. The cloud-covered mountains of North Carolina are seen in the distance.

    I love how the Milky Way appears to be a continuation of the river – no accident I’m sure. I’m guessing you had to take your sky shot with no moon in the sky, and the foreground with the moon low...
