Description: This Araneus gemmoides (sometimes called the cat-face spider because of the ear-like protrusions on the back) was hanging around my front door for about a week. I named her Lucy and tried many times to capture her hanging in her web. She remained elusive several evenings in a row, until I finally snuck out the door in the dark and captured her with a flash. Lucy, I'm home......
