  • Title: Desert Tree
  • State/Province/Region:
  • Country: United Arab Emirates

  • Nearest Town: Hatta
  • Brief Directions: You reach the city of Hatta either from Dubai or Abu Dhabi. Before you reach the city there is a check point where you are required to present ID. From the south part of the town you take the earth road heading to Hatta Pools. You pass them and without clear sign you are in Oman heading to Ash Shuwaylah city. When you reach at a small village called Ray at the entrance on the right side.
  • Notes: Strange tree standing alone in a very dry area . the distant mountains are very peculiar and with unusual colour. I picked the camera and shoot.

Very nice set of "Arches" Stephen. Wasn't sure, but thought someone said one of the famous landmarks fell? Really enjoyed the "Double Windows" when there!

That moose is a "spike" i.e. a very young juvenile, probably on his first year away from mom. His antler's will fill out further in the next few years.

Very interesting post Donna and Mike on Moose/Antlers. Not sure what may have caused the change in antlers, but pretty sure the one will end up looking like one of these in a few years.
