• Brief Directions: From Anchorage Alaska take the Turnigan Arm highway. This main highway is one of the most scenec in Alaska. Good photo subject matter can be found at many pull off points. Watch for Doll Mountain sheep and Baluga Whales in the channel.
• Notes: Alaska is well known for its quickly changing weather. Watch the weather and dress for it. Many pull outs have places to walk to get better views of the channel and surrounding mountains.
• Best Season: Autumn
• Description: A fall drive down Turnigan Arm from Anchorage Alaska found this scene right off the main highway. As I drove by it just jumped out at me and a quick U turn was in order. I parked along the road and set up my tripod just off the edge of the road. As the Semi trucks clipped by I took a series of photos with my wide angle lens. It is one of my favorite fall photos of 2012.
