  • Best Season: Summer
  • Description: Brown Bear along Bird Creek in silver salmon season. Bird creek is located along the Seward Highway. The creek is lined on both sides with forest so be careful as the bears come out on each side but mostly they come along the far end of the creek. I have seen up to 6 bears there on a given day. Watch out for the tides and be prepared to make your shoes very muddy. Dusk is the best time to see them. For safety sake take my advice, "Stay behind the craziest fisherman that way the bear will get him before he gets you".
