Big Sur Evening

  • Title: Big Sur Evening
  • State/Province/Region: California
  • Country: United States
  • Nearest Area: Garapata State Park
  • Nearest Town: Carmel
  • Description: The original colors on the film were over-cooked by the intensifier filter and need to be de-saturated some in PS. White spots on rocks are actually gulls, not dust on scan. I took this around 2001 and the bigger format of the RZ (6x7) was the only way to make big enlargements back then. 35mm did not look good at 30x40 inches.

Thanks Laura!! I walked into this little slot canyon till it was completely dark and thought I'd sort of found nothing much…then turned around and saw THIS. I was gem for sure.

Wow, just beautiful! The light is perfect and I love the curve of the tree and the lines of the canyon wall.
