Notes: The bridge across the Merced River is crowded every sunset with photographers hoping for good color on Half Dome. More often than not nothing unusual happens. This photograph shows a very rare situation. I have been going to Yosemite frequently for some forty years and this sky is the first of its kind I have seen.

Description: A storm had just cleared as the sun was setting producing this unusually colorful sky.
Gear: Nikon D200 with 18-200 mm Lens

whoa........... Gorgeous portrait. I've never seen a reddish egret. I'm about to move to Lakeland, FLA. this Summer. I hope to see one of these beauties first hand. So sad to know this one cannot...
