Last Light, Convict Lake

  • Title: Last Light, Convict Lake
  • State/Province/Region: California
  • Country: United States
  • Nearest Area: Mono County, CA
  • Nearest Town: Mammoth Lakes, CA
  • Best Season: Spring
  • Description: I return to this exact spot a lot. I have to say it is one of my favorite places to take photographs. This canyon is one of nature's great cathedrals. It's hard to explain the feeling that comes over you when you are standing there staring out across the water...Especially during this time of year, when there is nobody else out there. You can have the whole place to yourself, or share it with someone special.

Thank you very much, Lorenzo! I was pretty happy to see those clouds coming in from the west as I was quickly setting up pre-sunset to get this side of the lighthouse. Thank you! --Jim--
