Moonset Over Mammoth Minarets

  • Title: Moonset Over Mammoth Minarets
  • State/Province/Region: California
  • Country: United States
  • Nearest Area: Eastern Sierra Nevada
  • Nearest Town: Mammoth Lakes
  • Notes: F11 at 800mm (400mm x 2x)
  • Best Season: Winter
  • Description: Using TPE software, determined which time of year the moonset would occur over the Minarets and the ability to get access to the position not too far from the car in case I had to move quickly, which happened. My calculation was off by several hundred feet. This can happen when 20 miles from the moonset site.
