  • Description: One of the more spectacular sunsets I've seen recently occurred while I was shooting at my favorite beach in Santa Cruz. On this night there was an extremely low tide which allowed me to get to a part of the beach I'd never seen before. Once I found the composition I wanted I waited for a wave to come up and wrap around the rocks. But the ocean did not want to cooperate and I was getting a bit antsy because the light was really becoming amazing. Finally, just as I was about to move a bit closer to the water, a single wave came up around the rocks and allowed me to capture the watery streaks I love so much.

Very nice set of "Arches" Stephen. Wasn't sure, but thought someone said one of the famous landmarks fell? Really enjoyed the "Double Windows" when there!

That moose is a "spike" i.e. a very young juvenile, probably on his first year away from mom. His antler's will fill out further in the next few years.

Very interesting post Donna and Mike on Moose/Antlers. Not sure what may have caused the change in antlers, but pretty sure the one will end up looking like one of these in a few years.
