  • Brief Directions: About 4 hours north of Los Angeles via Hwy 395. About 5 mi south of Lone Pine turn left on Lubken Cyn Rd., left on Horseshoe Meadow Rd., then about 20 miles more to the trail head at the Pack Station. Backpacking required from there into John Muir Wilderness.
  • Notes: Neutral density gradient filters are essential.
  • Best Season: Summer
  • Gear: Camera, tripod, backpacking gear

    Very nice set of "Arches" Stephen. Wasn't sure, but thought someone said one of the famous landmarks fell? Really enjoyed the "Double Windows" when there!

    That moose is a "spike" i.e. a very young juvenile, probably on his first year away from mom. His antler's will fill out further in the next few years.
