  • Brief Directions: Take Garden of the Gods road all the way to the foothills and then left on 30th street. Head south about a mile and then at the Visitors Center take a right on Gateway Rd. into the Garden. Take the first right and then stop at the first parking lot and you are there!
  • Best Season: Summer
  • Description: September is the best time for this image. The moon sets at due west to allow a brief glimpse of the moon in the window of the Kissing Camels Rock formation at Garden of the Gods.

    Thanks Laura!! I walked into this little slot canyon till it was completely dark and thought I'd sort of found nothing much…then turned around and saw THIS. I was gem for sure.

    Wow, just beautiful! The light is perfect and I love the curve of the tree and the lines of the canyon wall.
