Fall Forest Floor

  • Title: Fall Forest Floor
  • State/Province/Region: Colorado
  • Country: United States
  • Nearest Area: Crystal Lake
  • Nearest Town: Ouray
  • Best Season: Autumn
  • Description: I have shot a number of fall color images over the years so the challenge is always to find something different than what I already have. I spent this year trying to focus on experimenting and watching for smaller details. I took a walk up into a grove of Aspen trees and took some nice images and as I was getting ready to head back down the trail I noticed this grouping of leaves, snow and moss on the trunk of an Aspen tree that had to be photographed. This image was taken near Crystal Lake on Red Mountain Pass which runs from Ouray to Silverton in Colorado.
