Afa Chapel

  • Title: Afa Chapel
  • State/Province/Region: Colorado
  • Country: United States
  • Nearest Area: US Air Force Academy
  • Nearest Town: Colorado Springs
  • Brief Directions: I25 Through Colorado Springs to the Northgate/AFA exit. Head west into the Air Force Academy and follow the signs to the visitors center. Park and walk a short paved trail to the chapel.
  • Notes: The interior is currently (as of March 2009) undergoing renovation and scaffolding is everywhere.
  • GPS Longitude: 33
  • GPS Latitude: 44
  • Best Season: Summer
  • Description: The Chapel on the grounds of the US Air Force Academy provides many interesting architectural angles. The shape in this particular Black and White image reminds me of paper airplanes or origami. As you walk around the chapel there are many more fascinating compositions to be made.
  • Gear: Good shoes and a camera
