Turquois Water Under Falls

  • Title: Turquois Water Under Falls
  • State/Province/Region: Colorado
  • Country: United States
  • Nearest Town: Glenwood Springs
  • Brief Directions: Take I-70 to the Hanging Lake picnic area exit. Just off the parking area is the trailhead to the lake.
  • Best Season: Spring
  • Description: These waterfalls feed a beautiful turquois lake that when the wind is calm is crystal clear. It's at the top of a fairly difficult 1.2 mile climb that rises 1,020 feet. The rocky trail runs along a stream that offers numerous "milky water" shots.

Beautiful rich colors Carla! Always love seascape images! Very nice blend of the sand/rocks/water!

Thank you kindly Laura! I'm sorry for not responding sooner, as it's hard to get to a computer right now. I always enjoy the Spring with wonderful colors. I look forward to sharing some new Spring...

Holly Molly that is just beautiful. That needs to be on the cover of OP magazine. Probably the most awesome image I have seen on here to date.
