Dead Tree In Grass Field

  • Title: Dead Tree In Grass Field
  • State/Province/Region: Hawaii
  • Country: United States
  • Nearest Town: Kona
  • Best Season: Summer
  • Description: Driving on Highway 270 on the Big Island about an hour outside of Kona you will reach the Kohala area of the island. Every time that i have been there in the summer this area is always dry as a bone, with endless fields of brown grass and dead trees. Its an area that you normally dont pay much attention to as the individual elements arent as picturesque as the greener parts of the island. Stay around for sunset though and this area comes to life, the golden light of the setting sun lights up the brown grass and dead trees, huge dramatic clouds come over the mountain side and deep blue askies provide as beautiful a backdrop as any other area on the Big Island
