  • Notes: Baxter State Park in mid-October is what we call a "two-fer" here in the northeast. The magnificent foliage and the very visible moose population make for slendid photo opportunities. Not to mention the grand presence ot Mt. Katahdin as you look up from a series of glistening ponds afire with the reflections of autumn.
  • Best Season: Autumn
  • Gear: Comfortable hiking boots and breatheable, layered clothing for v
