  • Description: Heron located on the side of the road fishing in a small stream at Assateague National Park in Maryland. Normally Greta Blue's spook very easily but this guy was enjoying the attention and posed for quite a few shots.
  • Brief Directions: Assateague is located east of route 50 on the Delmarva peninsula in Maryland. A barrier island in the Atlantic Ocean.
  • Notes: Assateague is best known for it's herd of wild horses. They roam freely on the beaches, through the campgrounds and are often spotted on the side of the road eating grass.
