First Frost Hartwick Pines State Park

  • Title: First Frost Hartwick Pines State Park
  • State/Province/Region: Michigan
  • Country: United States
  • Nearest Town: Grayling
  • Brief Directions: In MI take I75 north to the first Grayling exit. Follow signs to the hospital. Go past and cross North Down River Rd. Follow this to the end, Lewiston Grade Rd. Turn right and take the back country road to Hartwick Pines State Park, enjoy views of the Virgin Pines, over 100 ft tall.
  • Best Season: Autumn
  • Description: Woke up early this September day and notices the first frost covering the ground and the leaves. Like fine sugar coating on everything, I ran out the door and drove down my country road to the park nearby.

Beautiful stream/waterfall image Duane! The lighter colors in the background drew my eyes through the entire image. Must be a wonderful place to spend time photographing!
