Against The Sun

  • Title: Against The Sun
  • State/Province/Region: Michigan
  • Country: United States
  • Nearest Town: Grand Haven
  • Notes: I have been waiting to take this picture for a long time, and then the picture just fell in my lap. The sailboat obviously gets your attention when you look at it, but if you look at it closely you start to notice details in the foreground. The couple walking their dog, the bird in the sky, the amazing reflection on the water and the amazing contrast between the blue sky and the gorgeous sunset. I put in a of time for this picture and I was blessed with an amazing shot.

Very nice set of "Arches" Stephen. Wasn't sure, but thought someone said one of the famous landmarks fell? Really enjoyed the "Double Windows" when there!

That moose is a "spike" i.e. a very young juvenile, probably on his first year away from mom. His antler's will fill out further in the next few years.
