  • Brief Directions: From Highway 31 at Shelby, head west on W. Shelby Rd. for about 7 miles. Turn right at S. 16th Ave/Scenic Dr. and follow for 1.5 miles. Turn right at W. Buchanan Rd. and then turn left at S. 18th Ave./Scenic Dr. Follow S. 18th Ave./Scenic Dr. for about 1.8 miles. Turn left at Scenic Dr./W. Silver Lake Rd. and follow for a half mile. Turn right at N. Lighthouse Dr. and follow for about 1.2 miles to the Little Sable Point parking lot.
  • Notes: Little Sable Point's windswept sand dune along the shore of Lake Michigan is a treat. You won't find the beach busy during the off season. Sunset views of the lighthouse and Lake Michigan are simply breathtaking. A visit to nearby Silver Lake State Park is a must as well.
  • Best Season: Spring
