Coming In For A Landing

  • Title: Coming In For A Landing
  • State/Province/Region: Montana
  • Country: United States
  • Nearest Area: flathead river
  • Nearest Town: Kalispell
  • Brief Directions: you know spring has arrived when the Osprey return
  • Notes: capturing the birds can be somewhat tricky if you do not have the proper equipment but I use a variety of long range zooms to get the shots.
  • Best Season: Spring
  • Description: The Osprey come back every year to Kalispell and this year I was able to capture them working on the nest. The Osprey usually travels with it's life long mate and on this day the male was not to far from the female watching closely as she would gather parts for the nest.

Thank you for the compliment on my work Jean. The ocean is a most wonderful place to photograph; with both the power and beauty it displays.
