Brief Directions: From Highway 395, take Nevada 208 towards Smith Valley into the town of Wellington. Take a right on Hoye Canyon road approx 3-4 miles and park below the horn.
Notes: The water flowing through the stream is full this April. Probably due to the banner snow fall in the Sierras this year. Sunset seems the best for colors. I used 17mm on 5D with F/14. Composited about 6 images to get the Pnoramic effect and slight HDR. The Sky was from a previous visit. It took me 4 visits to get the images I needed.

Description: Sunset in Hoye Canyon, this is a short but dramatic desert canyon. Lots of rich mineral content with a beautiful stream flowing through it. A wide angle lens is necessary for this shot. I composited 6 different shots to get this one.

Thanks Lorenzo for the kind words on Oregon. I thought I'd share this shot also of Kauai. I know Laura is planning a trip there, so I tried to add some images for her to take a look at!
