Tuckerton Sunrise

  • Title: Tuckerton Sunrise
  • State/Province/Region: New Jersey
  • Country: United States
  • Nearest Area: Little Egg Harbor/Barnegat Bay
  • Nearest Town: Tuckerton
  • Brief Directions: Turn onto Great Bay Boulevard, off of Route 9 in Tuckerton by the Tuckerton Seaport Museum. Also called Seven Bridges Road, the traveler will cross over seven bridges that span the swamplands.
  • Notes: I confess. Nikon D40x set on Auto.
  • GPS Longitude: 74
  • GPS Latitude: 39
  • Best Season: Summer
  • Description: Even before early settlers came to this area in 1698, the indigenous Lenni Lenape Indians frequented this area for fishing and clamming. Settlers were attracted to this area by the vast protected waters of Barnegat Bay and the bounty it provided. I ventured out into the marshes just before sunrise and waited with the tripod for many fabulous shots.

Thank you very much, Alena! Before planning your visit, do make sure to check park hours, as this area is not open to the public year-round.

Lovely composition of greenery and water motion, Alena. I especially like the textured waterfall curtain effect you have captured.
