After The Storm

  • Title: After The Storm
  • State/Province/Region: New Mexico
  • Country: United States
  • Nearest Area: eastern New Mexico
  • Nearest Town: Clovis
  • Best Season: Spring
  • Description: Smoke from raging wildfires in western New Mexico, along with clouds from departing thunderstorms, provided lots of color for the late evening sky in eastern New Mexico. I had to work fast because the clouds were moving, and the sun was setting, and the colors and photo ops were constantly changing. Aperture Priority proved to be a reliable 'friend'.

Thanks Laura!! I walked into this little slot canyon till it was completely dark and thought I'd sort of found nothing much…then turned around and saw THIS. I was gem for sure.

Wow, just beautiful! The light is perfect and I love the curve of the tree and the lines of the canyon wall.
