  • Title: Steins Under Clouds
  • State/Province/Region: New Mexico
  • Country: United States
  • Nearest Area: New Mexico Arizona State Line
  • Nearest Town: Lordsburg NM
  • Brief Directions: Steins is located north of I-10 close to the New Mexico, Arizona State Line.
  • Notes: Steins is an old railroad station that was opperated by the Southern Pacific. It is now privately owned. The public road goes right by Steins to the railroad tracks. You can also get some good views of these mountians from the rest area on the other side of the state line. If you are into trains, this is along side the double track main line of the Union Pacific Railroad.
  • Best Season: Summer
  • Description: This is the view of the mountains near Steins Railroad Ghost Town. A morning storm cast some of the best light I have seen at this location.

Thanks Paul and Lorenzo! This is one of those scenes that a camera will never do justice to-there was nothing like being there.
