  • Brief Directions: From Albuquerque: Take I-40 West to NM 371. Go North through Crownpoint. The turn is approximately 46 miles North of Crownpoint. Cross the Don Gleason Bridge and look for the BLM sign. Turn right off 371. The parking area is about 4 miles from 371.

You can use this a GOTO when navigating out after sunset. Make sure you have a headlamp and extra batteries. This is a very fragile area. All visitors should tread lightly. Pack it in and out. Please do your part to take care of this special place.
  • Best Season: Autumn

Thank you very much, Lorenzo! I was pretty happy to see those clouds coming in from the west as I was quickly setting up pre-sunset to get this side of the lighthouse. Thank you! --Jim--
